"Respite" is a brief tune that I fell in love with melodically. It is meant to represent a space where nothing is happening, where you could truly rest without carrying any of the weight from the outside world.
I loved the imagery of laying on the ground near the tree featured in the album artwork with respect to this song—nowhere to go and nothing to worry about, just feeling the sun on your skin and the grass beneath you.
